The Environment:
Equally fundamental is the care we take as a business, to nurture and protect the natural environment. This means not just managing the environmental impact of our projects, but also the steps we take as an ethical business to minimize the effect of our day to day activities, such as the use of natural resources and management of waste. The ISO 14001 certification we hold is reviewed annually to ensure our commitment to these points.
Health & Safety:
The management of health and safety is considered to be a top level commitment, fundamental to the company's operation. Our policy arrangements are supported by a management system certified to SMAS. We aim to protect all employees and anyone else that may be affected by our activities to the best degree.
Wood Sourcing:
Consumers, companies and public authorities require more and more guarantees that harvested trees, paper and wood products come from properly managed forests. The Forest Stewardship Council® certification system enables us to differentiate wood products that come from well managed forests. This scheme is based on sustainable development and continuous improvement principles applied to forest management. Under the scheme, certified products can be traced back to their forest of origin through the trading and processing companies of the supply chain. Calanpoint is proud to be FSC® (FSC® C116879) certified as we are able to demonstrate that our wood is supplied from FSC certified sources.
